Mission

The mission of Celtic FC Chicago Soccer Club is to provide the best soccer experience for every player. Celtic FC Chicago welcomes all players to join our club, and every player is required to try out before being placed on a team. Our tryout serves as a crucial evaluation process, enabling the club to assess each player's skills, strengths, and potential for success on the field. By conducting tryouts, we aim to ensure that every player is placed on a team that aligns with their ability level and provides them with the optimal environment for growth and development in the sport.

Tryout Instructions & Process

REGISTER FOR TRYOUTS: All interested players must register for tryouts according to their birth year. Tryouts are FREE for all participants. All registration can be done online by using the registration links below.
IN PERSON CHECK-IN: Players must check-in 15-20 minutes before their scheduled tryout. Players will receive any final directions about their tryout. Any player who has not completed online registration must complete an on-site registration with their parent or legal guardian.
CELTIC FC CHICAGO EVALUATION: Each player is assisted through tryouts by the CFC Professional Staff. Players are evaluated through the use of small-sided games and technical exercises. Current CFC players are evaluated at tryouts, but also evaluated through the previous year. Our staff makes all decisions regarding player placement.
CELTIC FC CHICAGO TEAM FORMATION: Celtic FC Chicago Staff meet every night after tryouts to go through tryout evaluations. Each tryout player is evaluated by staff members (current tryout evaluation staff and previous team staff) and then reviewed at the post tryout meetings. Each evaluating coach gives their opinion on each player followed by evaluation by their previous team staff.
CELTIC FC CHICAGO TRYOUT COMMUNICATION: Emails will be sent to all players within 48 hours of the age group's last tryout date. Parents and players will have 48 hours to ACCEPT or DECLINE their placement with Celtic FC Chicago. Rosters will be sent out once they are finalized. Coaching staff will be announced once all teams have been finalized. If no decision is made in 48 hours, your spot on the team may be offered to someone else.

Tryout Schedule

We are excited to announce that Celtic FC Chicago will be hosting tryouts for all NEW players interested in joining for the 2024/25 Season. Each tryout participant will have the opportunity to attend two FREE tryout sessions, during which they will be evaluated for their specific age-group.
